Local beauty and Mayor enjoy charity evening at The Curry Place

The Curry Place Indian restaurant laid out a spectacular banquet to mark the visit of Swindon beauty pagent winner Emily Cooper and Swindon Mayor Ray Ballman.

The evening was held in aid of a charity supported by both the restaurant owner, Mr Ali, and his distinguished visitors. Over £1000 was raised, with £650 of that being donated, surpassing the hopes of all those involved.

Both Mr. Ali and his staff said that they enjoyed hosting the evening, and "that it was wonderful for the guests to grace the restaurant with their presence".

From right to left, those who attended the fundraiser were: Curry Place owner Mahmod Ali, Mayor Ray Ballman (second right), Beeteshoke De (middle) and Miss Swindon Galaxy, Emily Cooper (second left).
